Reina et al (2024) reviewed and summarised the available knowledge of the demonstrated in-vitro and clinical trail evidence of Pelargonium sidoides. At total of 134 studies were reviewed, the majority published since 2007. The safety profile was also reviewed and concluded that Pelargonium is well tolerated. The often discussed relation between Pelargonium and liver damage was discussed as it has been on this website and commented that “possible causality does not prove clinical significance”.
